It’s been nearly 3 months since Jon Stewart announced he was leaving the Daily Show, and one month since Trevor Noah was named the next host. But it didn’t really sink in that the Daily Show as we know it is over until Thursday night, when Stewart said goodbye to the show’s longest-serving correspondent (and one of its best), Samantha Bee.

She said she was going to cry, and she did. (Me too.)

After nearly 12 years, Bee is moving on to host her own satirical news show on TBS, where her husband and Daily Show coworker, Jason Jones, was already developing a sitcom.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart ends August 6. There will be more crying.
